This spring, 26 West Center will be holding its first-ever pitch competition for entrepreneurs. It will be held over a month, giving participants enough time to create a plan and learn more about succeeding in the industry.
As they compete for a cash prize, they will be working with coaches and mentors who’ll help them flesh out their ideas. Together, they’ll create a business plan, which they’ll submit to the judges. It all culminates in a 3-5 minute pitch where participants have a chance to win cash and other prizes to help them get a head start.

This spring, 26 West Center will be holding its first-ever pitch competition for entrepreneurs. It will be held over a month, giving participants enough time to create a plan and learn more about succeeding in the industry.

What’s Included
By joining the competition, you can use our facilities at 26 West Center for any of your competition-related work. While you are there, you’ll have access to business experts who will help you out through coaching. You’ll have a mentor to guide you and help you with your business needs. There will be daily meetings, and coaches will be available during business hours.
As you are developing your business plan, you’ll also undergo four workshops during the month to improve your skills.
They are:
- Design Thinking: Helping you identify your customers and gain ideas that cater to them. Creative problem-solving is the core of this workshop.
- Building Business Models: Learning how to create a model for your business will help you make the right decisions. We’ll teach you about the Lean Startup method, what a Business Model Canvas is, and more!
- Pitch Decks and Presenting: A business model and idea are good, but you need a solid pitch to sell it to investors. You’ll learn what it takes to create a solid pitch that can earn you the money you need to move forward.
- Risking Capital and Working with Investors: Capital is one of the essential parts of any business, but it’s usually the hardest to do. With investors, though, you’ll be able to find money sources you need to start and continue working on your business.
